Ordering/Shipping Information

Placing an Order

Q: I clicked 'Add to Cart', but nothing happened. What gives?
A: A 'mini' Shopping Cart appears on the left-side of the page. It lists your Shopping Cart contents, with a 'Checkout' link at the end.

Q: Is all your stuff in stock?
A: I do my best to keep everything in stock. Fortunately, I've got new shipments arriving each day. If an item is Special Order, I'll note that on the web site. But even the grocery store can run out of things... no one likes that, and I try hard to prevent it.

For low-volume glass, the manufacturer will sometimes sell-out of a particular color and style. If that happens, I'll find a best-match, and offer that to you as a substitute. But I'll never ship a substitute without your permission.

Q: I want a certain piece of opal glass with extra Blues and Reds in it. Can you help?
A: Sure! In your Shopping Cart, you can attach an 'Item Note' to each item in your cart. Just add a note, "Extra blues and reds, please", and I'll hand-pick a piece of glass for you. I can't always work miracles, but I'll do my best.

Shipping Addresses

Q: How can I change my shipping address when placing an order online?
A: If you've created an account with Tracy's Workshop, sign in to the website. You can make changes to your account by clicking on the "Your Name" link after signing in. You can also change or create a new ship-to address while checking out.

Q: Do you ship to APO/AFO addresses?
A: Yes, I will gladly send any item to a member of our Armed Forces with an APO/AFO address. Upon Checkout, simply specify USPS Priority Mail, and enter the APO/AFO address and Zip Code as the Ship-To address. Select "United States" as the Country. I will attach the necessary Customs form to the package, and deliver it to the Post Office.

Q: Do you ship to locations outside the United States?
A: Yes, I ship internationally via U.S. Postal Service, who then passes the package on to your local mail service. All items entering a foreign country are subject to customs inspection and the assessment of duties and taxes in accordance with that country's national laws.

Customs duties and taxes are assessed, generally, if the merchandise is dutiable and the value of the item is above the threshold set by the country's laws. If duties and taxes are assessed on an item, they are collected from you upon delivery.

In addition, for most countries, there is a brokerage fee that is collected from the recipient to cover the costs of clearing the item through customs. Additionally, when ordering from me, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.

Shipping and Handling Charges

Q: How are items shipped?
A: I ship your items using the US Postal Service; you get to choose. When you checkout, you will be provided with shipping options and shipping charges.

Q: How much do you charge for shipping?
A: Shipping charges depend on the weight and destination of your order. As you place items into your Shopping Cart, shipping costs are obtained in real-time from the US Postal Service. These costs are displayed on the Shopping Cart page.

Q: What is your minimum order requirement?
A: I don't have a minimum. Order what you'd like, whenever you want. No minimums, no extra charges. :-)

Delivery Information

Q: When will my order be delivered?
A: I will send you a package tracking number when your order ships. Please visit the shipping company's website to view package tracking information.

Q: How can I check the status of my order?
A: If you have questions on the status of a backorder please send me an email to tracy tracysworkshop.com.

Q: Do I have to be present when an item is delivered?
A: It is up to the discretion of the shipping company to determine if the package can be left without a signature. If the shipping company requires a signature, they will leave a notice with delivery options and instructions.

Q: Is my shipment insured?
A: Yes, I insure every shipment against loss or damage.

Q: What do I do if the package appears damaged?
A: If you are present when the package is delivered, inspect it before signing for the delivery. If the package appears damaged but the merchandise looks unaffected, note the damage on all delivery receipts before signing.

If the package is damaged to the extent that the merchandise is missing or damaged, refuse delivery and send an email to tracy tracysworkshop.com for prompt replacement of the damaged items.

Q: What if I accept delivery and then discover a problem or I wasn't there in person to sign for the package?
A: If you receive an item that appears damaged from shipping (ex: box is dented), notify the carrier immediately (U.S. Post Office, Royal Mail, etc). Do not return the damaged merchandise - the carrier will determine if they need to see the condition of the box at the delivery site.

Keep all packaging materials, including interior and exterior containers. Notify me of the damage and I will file a damage claim with the carrier.
